A homemade spaghetti sauce is always a crowd pleaser and you can use ingredients that you already have in your pantry or garden. This is a recipe that always tastes amazing- and it’s perfect for a quick and easy dinner. There’s no picky eater that would say no to homemade spaghetti! Even better, these juicy tomatoes were grown using our 5-5-5 All-Purpose Plant Food and Protilizer® Seed & Plant Starter.
Ingredients
- ½ Bushel Tomatoes
- 2/3 Pint Oil
- 3 lbs Onions
- ½ Cup of Salt
- 2 Garlic Buds
- 4 Hot Peppers
- 60 oz of Tomato Paste
- 1½ Cup of Sugar (or Stevia)
- 1 Tbsp Sweet Basil
- 2 Tbsp Oregano
Directions
Cook tomatoes and garlic together to make the juice. Run through a Foley mill and set aside. Grind peppers and onions in a food processer and then cook them for ½ hour in oil. Add these to tomato juice with the rest of the ingredients. Put in warm jars and seal.
Makes 12 Quarts
Process jars in a water bath canner. 45 minutes for quarts, 40 minutes for pint.
