This lemon bar recipe brings a perfect balance of tangy lemon and buttery goodness, like a burst of sunshine on a plate. Get ready to roll up your sleeves, preheat your oven, and indulge in these yummy bars!
Ingredients:
Lemon Bar Base
- ½ cup of unsalted butter
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
Lemon Bar Filling
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 pinch of salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350F and spray an 8x8 inch glass baking dish with baking spray
Lemon Bar Base:
- In a bowl, use a hand mixer to combine butter and powdered sugar until combined, then mix in the flour until a soft dough forms. Pat out in the bottom of the baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven but leave the oven on.
Lemon Bar Filling:
- Mix eggs, granulated sugar, baking powder, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a new bowl.
- Pour the mix over the lemon bar base and then return it to the oven for 25 minutes.
- Let the dish cool for easier cutting – let chill in the fridge for 1 hour. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
